North Coast Eye Care is an independently owned practice in the beautiful state of Washington, and is the perfect location for an optometrist looking for a well-run medical practice.

Our office is nestled between the Straits of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic National Park in what is known as the 'Olympic Rain Shadow.'  Due to this rain shadow, Sequim's annual rainfall is similar to that of Los Angeles.  From glacier-carved lakes and majestic coastlines to lush rain forests, Washington State's Olympic Peninsula has world-class scenery and outdoor opportunities.  Popular local activities include hunting and fishing, hiking the myriad trails located in the Olympic National Park and Forest, exploring the rugged coastal shoreline that gives our practice its name, and attending festivals and other events in charming waterfront towns.  Big city amenities are available in Seattle, which is located less than 70 miles away.  Victoria, Canada is within easy reach via a ferry from neighboring Port Angeles.

We are seeking a full-time optometrist to join the North Coast Eye Care team.  The ideal candidate will have a friendly, out-going personality that enables them to interact effortlessly with patients and staff.  This person must also be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where they will see 16-18 patients per day. That said, we strive to maintain a low-stress office by only scheduling two to three patients per hour, with full pre-testing performed by our technicians.  Our knowledgeable and efficient staff supports our doctors by engaging with our patients from the moment they walk through the door and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the process, thereby allowing our doctors to focus on providing optimal patient care. The ideal OD is well-prepared to treat and manage various ocular diseases.

Our office has the latest technology in examination and diagnostic equipment to include: OCT, Visual Field, Topography, Meibography, Auto-Refractor, Retinal Camera, Pachymetry, EHR, and more.  We also have a full optical dispensary and a large contact lens patient base, with many patients in toric and multifocal lenses. In addition, we fit specialty contact lenses like MF RGPs and Scleral lenses. As an optometrist in our practice, you will be expected to:

•       Perform comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat refractive and developmental eye conditions.

•       Diagnose and treat ocular disease of the cornea, conjunctiva, lids, posterior segment of the eye, and glaucoma.

•       Assess the patient's systemic conditions as it relates to their eyes.

•       Prescribe corrective lenses for eyeglasses.

•       Fit all types of contact lenses for refractive conditions and ocular disease.

•       Build strong doctor-patient relationships.

•       Handle eye care emergencies on a rotating basis with the other doctors in the office.

Experience with pediatrics, binocular vision, specialty contact lenses, or low-vision would be welcomed. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package to include:

•       Competitive Salary

•       Medical and dental insurance

•       Holidays off

•       Paid time off

•       Malpractice insurance

•       State license fees paid

•       CE allowance

Mount Baker Vision Clinic

We are seeking the right individual as a full-time associate with a goal of partnership within three to five years of joining Mt. Baker Vision Clinic (MBVC).

The doctors and staff of MBVC have been dedicated to serving the people of the Bellingham area since 1951. As a result of this sixty-seven-year commitment to care and service, we have grown to become one of the largest full-scope optometry practices in Whatcom County with two state-of-the-art locations, four optometrists and sixteen staff members.

Our clinical emphasis has always been to meet the ocular health and vision needs of the whole family. Consequently, in addition to primary care, our scope of practice as expanded over the years to include the medical management of ophthalmic disease and emergent ocular conditions, pediatrics, senior care, managing the ocular sequelae of chronic systemic disease, co-management of ophthalmic surgeries and specialty contact lens services including orthokeratology and scleral lenses.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking the right individual to join us in continuing MBVC's legacy. A successful candidate would share a similar dedication to patient care. Residency training, though not a requirement, is preferred. As this position represents a unique opportunity to transition from associate to co-ownership in a short three to five years, a strong work ethic, personable nature, leadership skills and an entrepreneurial spirit are required. We're looking for someone who wishes to build relationships with our staff, patients and the wonderful people of the Bellingham area as they make this area a life-long home for their family.

Whatcom County has a population of just over 200,000, making it big enough to offer many of the amenities and cultural experiences that metro areas have, but with the warmth and neighborly feel of a smaller town. Situated on the Puget Sound, and just a short drive to Mount Baker and the North Cascades, the area is prized by hikers, backpackers, photographers, mountain bikers, and anyone who enjoys spending time in the marvels of creation.  With a climate sunnier and drier than Seattle, along with a thriving local economy, Bellingham has been ranked as one of the best places in America to live, work, and retire.

If this opportunity interests you, please email Dr. Brian Koning at

We encourage you to learn more about our doctors and practice at

Dr. Stephen Nevett & Associates, P.C.

We are located next to LensCrafters in the Northgate Mall, Seattle, and we are currently looking for a permanent part time doctor to work at least three days per week (possibly four, depending on what the applicant is seeking).

Ideally our new associate doctor will be able to work Wed, Fri, Sat, however the days could be flexible if needed (except for the Saturday).

Even if you are only available one or two days per week, feel free to contact us.  Our office has great staff, and great technology.

We offer sick and vacation time to our part time doctors, pay for lunch every few weeks, and generally try to enjoy our work days!

Contact me to learn more about this great, well paying, opportunity!

New grads are welcome to apply.
