Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are searching for a full-time optometrist (4.5 days per week) to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision and medical care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care and is eager to learn and develop as a practitioner. Your regular duties will include:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams (15-20 exams per day)
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease 
• Prescribe corrective lenses
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
• Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
• Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
• Handle eyecare emergencies

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
• Valid state license to practice optometry
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities

Do you enjoy a busy day seeing advanced DED, Glaucoma, AMD, walk-in red eyes, floaters, keratoconus, along with standard eye exams? Do you like precepting optometry students? Look no further!

We are looking for an associate to work up to  5 days per week at our Renton location. Specifically, we are looking for a doctor that is preferably residency trained and knowledgeable in ocular disease and specialty contacts, including OK and Myopia Management.

Pay starts at $550 per day. Salary is negotiable based on experience/training. We offer full benefits: including medical/dental insurance, vision benefits, 401k with matching, and bonuses ($10,000+ in annual benefits). Future ownership/partnership is preferred.

Cascade Vision Center is a progressive and growing eye clinic that offers full-scope eye care and specializes in medical optometry, including: dry eye disease, aesthetics, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. We also fit specialty contacts, including: custom SCLs, prosthetic lenses, sclerals and ortho-k.

Our main office is close to Valley Medical Center, where we have a strong relationship with the attending physicians. We see 20-24 exams per day, utilizing techs and scribes to maintain flow.
