Equipment from Haskell Lions Eye Clinic - Bellingham, WA
The Haskell Lions Eye Clinic is a non-profit free clinic with an all-volunteer staff of optometrists, opticians, and others providing eyecare and eyewear to uninsured low-income and homeless individuals. Founded in Bellingham in 2012, it is open 3 afternoons a month for eye exams and optical services. Services are provided to qualifying persons in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and San Juan counties. Clinic space is provided by the Peacehealth Hospital System. Optical goods are provided by Walman Optical and a wide variety of eyeglass frame manufacturers. Electric health records by Eyecloud Pro. Additional funding was provided by the Bellingham Central Lions Club, multiple other Lions clubs, and local organizations and foundations.
The clinic has received donations of ophthalmic equipment beyond what can be used at the clinic and is seeking a donation of $2,500 in exchange for this equipment. There is sufficient equipment in good working order to create a full lane for use in a branch office or second exam room. The equipment includes:
- Reliance Chair and Stand with 2 arms. (Needs some cleanup).
- Marco Slit lamp (Haag Streit style) with arm mount
- Haag Streit 900 Goldman Tonometer with mount
- Phoropter by Testor (AO Rx master style)
- Keratometer, Marco.
- Lens Kit with trial frames.
