Our Leadership
The Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW) leadership devote many hours, outside of the normal demands of work and personal lives, to help the profession of optometry advance in Washington State. This group of ODs, with support from other structure teams and society leaders, helps the organization navigate through the political and fiscal landscape facing today's optometrists.

About Our Leadership
|
Dr. Morton received the OPW Student of the Year award in 2015 and later that year, began her role as President of the Southwest Optometric Society through 2021. She received the Young Doctor of Optometry of the Year award for her dedication and leadership. In 2022, she joined the OPW Board of Trustees, where she served on the Membership Committee of the Invest Division. The following year, she was appointed Vice President of the Association. Dr. Morton served as President-Elect in 2024 and currently serves as the OPW President, while continuing in her role as the Washington InfantSEE State Advocate for the American Optometric Association. Dr. Morton specializes in pediatric eye care, vision therapy, neuro-rehabilitation, and sports vision training. She strives to help her patients and the community understand that vision means much more than simply seeing 20/20. She loves the challenge of helping children in their development and treating underlying vision problems to help students read and learn -- in turn, giving them more opportunities and choices in life. When not in the office, Dr. Morton can be found enjoying the great outdoors as she cycles, runs, and hikes all over the NW. She also frequents live music events and spends time at the coast. |
